Section IV - TCP/IP
OKI OkiLAN 6010e User’s Guide
If FF, LF or NF are the last two letters of the
queue name, the job will be converted
accordingly. See the section on
Remote
Queue Names
.
Prerequisites
Before you proceed, the following prerequisites must be
met. Most of the time steps 2 through 5 are already
configured since the HP-UX system is on a TCP/IP
network.
Do
not perform steps 2 through 5 unless the
installation procedure fails!
1.
The name
OKIPRINTER
and the IP ad-
dress assigned to the OkiLAN 6010e are in
the “/etc/hosts” file on the HP-UX system.
2.
Make sure the rlp process is not running by
typing at the UNIX prompt:
ps –e | grep rlp
If rlp is not running, you will not see any
output after executing this command.
If rlp is running (that is, if you see output
after executing this command), kill the
process with the command:
kill –15 process_number
