InfoPrint Manager searches for data objects using the UTF-16 name and the eight-character name provided in the data stream. The search process is different from previous versions. InfoPrint Manager now searches items one through four by UTF-16 name and then search items one through four by eight byte name. Then, InfoPrint Manager searches items five through eight by UTF-16 name and then by eight byte name. 2. If a data object changes after a job prints, recycle the actual destination by disabling and enabling the connection. Reuse of CMRs and data objects across printer jobs Using CMRs and data objects in more than one print job can improve printer performance. InfoPrint Manager includes two actual destination attributes that you can use to specify reuse: maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep and capture-inline-cmr-resources. If you use the same resources (such as company logos) in different print jobs, you can improve print performance by storing those resources on the printer. Use the maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep actual destination attribute to specify the maximum number of CMRs and data objects to store in the memory of the printer device between jobs. The default value is 100 objects. Both CMRs and data objects are included in this count. The printers control the actual retention of resources based on the value of the maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep actual destination attribute and the available resources downloaded to the printer. Note: If the printer is reset, the printer memory is cleared. If you include CMRs inline with your print jobs, you can use the capture-inline-cmr-resources actual destination attribute to indicate whether inline CMRs can be captured and reused by PSF TCP/IP printers. Capturing a CMR means the resource is downloaded to the printer and remains resident in the printer memory for future reuse. The default for this attribute is false (not active). Reuse of CMRs and data objects across printer jobs
Using CMRs and data objects in more than one print job can improve printer
performance. InfoPrint Manager includes two actual destination attributes that you
can use to specify reuse:
maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep
and
capture-inline-cmr-resources
.
If you use the same resources (such as company logos) in different print jobs, you
can improve print performance by storing those resources on the printer.
Use the
maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep
actual destination
attribute to specify the maximum number of CMRs and data objects to store in the
memory of the printer device between jobs. The default value is 100 objects. Both
CMRs and data objects are included in this count.
The printers control the actual retention of resources based on the value of the
maximum-presentation-object-containers-to-keep
actual destination attribute and
the available resources downloaded to the printer.
Note:
If the printer is reset, the printer memory is cleared.
If you include CMRs inline with your print jobs, you can use the
capture-inline-cmr-resources
actual destination attribute to indicate whether inline
CMRs can be captured and reused by PSF TCP/IP printers. Capturing a CMR
means the resource is downloaded to the printer and remains resident in the
printer memory for future reuse. The default for this attribute is
false
(not active).
