Chapter 4. Configuring media This section describes how to create, configure, and manage media. Use the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface or the AIX command line to complete these tasks. Determining the media that are in the servers You can use the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface or the AIX command line to show the media in the servers being monitored. Using the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface Start the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface by double-clicking the icon or by entering ipguiadvadm at the AIX command line. From the Server menu on the Main window, select Media → Show Media. The dialog displays the media that is located on all servers currently being monitored. Using the AIX command line To display all the media in specified servers, use the pdls command. Using the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface From the Server menu, select Media → Create or Copy (and select a media in the Select Media to Copy dialog) to open the Create Media dialog. You use this dialog to create a media in the specified server. This section describes how to create, configure, and manage media. Use the
InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface or the AIX command line to complete
these tasks.
Determining the media that are in the servers
You can use the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface or the AIX command
line to show the media in the servers being monitored.
Using the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface
Start the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface by double-clicking the icon or
by entering
ipguiadvadm
at the AIX command line. From the
Server
menu on the
Main window, select
Media
Show Media
. The dialog displays the media that is
located on all servers currently being monitored.
Using the AIX command line
To display all the media in specified servers, use the
pdls
command. For example,
to display the media in
Server1
, enter:
pdls -c medium -r medium-identifier,associated-server,medium-type Server1:

Server
menu, select
Media
Create
or

(and select a media in the
