Explicit path to the AFP file that you want to print. Note: /usr/lpp/psf/config is a directory that is created automatically. Example: pdpr -d ld1 -x resource-context=/usr/lpp/psf/config -x color-mappingtable=pie1.set /home/user1/test.afp This command will print the input file test.afp located in the directory /home/user1/ using the color mapping table pie1.set located in /usr/lpp/psf/config to the logical destination ld1. -x attributes: Submitting a job with -x attributes overrides any actual destination configuration settings. Actual destination settings only take effect by default if no parameters are passed to InfoPrint Manager when submitting a job. The hierarchy is: 1. -x attribute upon job submission 2. Job and document defaults; color-mapping-table attribute 3. Actual destination color-mapping-table attribute Configuring an actual destination When configuring an actual destination with the InfoPrint Manager Administration GUI, it is important to include the name of the color mapping table. Use this procedure to configure an actual destination to use the appropriate color mapping table: 1. From the InfoPrint Administration Servers main window, enable the appropriate actual destination (in this case, NewP, as shown below) by right-clicking the actual destination and then selecting Enable. 2. Ensure that the Color mapping table (pie1.set) has been specified on the AFP Color tab of the Printer Properties notebook and that the Location of resources (/usr/lpp/psf/config/) has been specified on the AFP Resources tab. 3. Submit your job to InfoPrint Manager, using either the command line or the InfoPrint Select client. Using the InfoPrint Select client to submit a job There are 3 ways to designate a color mapping table when using InfoPrint Select: a. Use the Logical destination to designate the color mapping table. Specify the color-mapping-table attribute in the Job and document defaults associated with the logical destination to which you are sending the job. b. Use the Actual destination to designate the color mapping table. Specify the color-mapping-table attribute of the Actual destination to which you are sending the job. c. Use the File → Print method to designate the color mapping table. If you are using a newer version of InfoPrint Select, a Job settings dialog appears after the Print button is clicked on the Print window. Specify the name of the color mapping table by clicking the Other tab of Job settings dialog. Configuring an actual destination

When configuring an actual destination with the InfoPrint Manager Administration

GUI, it is important to include the name of the color mapping table. Use this

procedure to configure an actual destination to use the appropriate color mapping

table:

From the

InfoPrint Administration Servers

main window, enable the

appropriate actual destination (in this case,

NewP

, as shown below) by

right-clicking the actual destination and then selecting

Enable

Ensure that the

Color mapping table

(

pie1.set

) has been specified on the

AFP

Color

tab of the

Printer Properties

notebook and that the

Location of resources

(

/usr/lpp/psf/config/

) has been specified on the

AFP Resources

tab.

Submit your job to InfoPrint Manager, using either the command line or the

InfoPrint Select client.

Using the InfoPrint Select client to submit a job

There are 3 ways to designate a color mapping table when using InfoPrint

Select:

Use the

Logical destination

to designate the color mapping table. Specify

the

color-mapping-table

attribute in the

Job and document defaults

associated with the logical destination to which you are sending the job.

Use the

Actual destination

to designate the color mapping table. Specify

the

color-mapping-table

attribute of the Actual destination to which you are

sending the job.

Use the

File

→

method to designate the color mapping table. If you are

using a newer version of InfoPrint Select, a

Job settings dialog

appears

after the

button is clicked on the

window. Specify the name of

the color mapping table by clicking the

Other

tab of

Job settings dialog

Enter

color-mapping-table=pie1.set

, where

pie1.set

is the name of the

color mapping table.
