3. If your InfoPrint Manager environment has two InfoPrint Manager systems in different name spaces on the same machine, you need to start an IPP gateway daemon for each InfoPrint Manager system. Halftone Management System If you have the Print-on-Demand Feature installed, you also have he Halftone Management System (HMS) server running. To verify this, enter: # ps -ef | grep server If the HMS server is running, a line like this will be displayed: root 23830 20954 0 Oct 22 pts/0 0:43 java calibd /usr/lpp/pd/ipcal/server/ calibd.src /usr/lpp/pd/ ipcal/server/calibd.msg trace.log /usr/lpp/pd/ipcal/bin Start the HMS server on the target InfoPrint Manager machine. The configuration does not need to be migrated as the halftones are handled automatically. IPPGW configuration Make sure that the service is started by following these steps: 1. Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. 2. If the service "InfoPrint Manager IPP Gateway" is started, start it on the new server also. To do this you need to perform these steps: 1. From the Management Console, select Edit > Service Configuration. 2. Check the "Automatically start IPP gateway.." box. 3. To verify that the gateway is working open the Internet browser and enter the following web address, replacing serverhostname with the DNS hostname of the system where the IPP gateway daemon is running: http:// serverhostname:631/printers Note: IPPGW can be ran only with default port which is 631. Halftone Management System If you have Print-on-Demand feature installed then you have Halftone Management System server running. Start the Halftone Management System server on the target InfoPrint Manager machine. The configuration does not need to be migrated. The halftones are handled automatically. Note: If you have HMS on R1, you need to buy the POD licenses, due to the fact that HMS has been moved to the POD feature. Custom exits for ACIF and MVS Download If there are any ACIF exits, you need to copy and restore all the MVS Download exits located in \bin\mvsdsubm.exe and \exits\mvsd (source files and objects) to the 150 InfoPrint Manager for AIX: Procedures

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

If the service "InfoPrint Manager IPP Gateway" is started, start it on the new

server also.

To do this you need to perform these steps:

From the Management Console, select

Edit > Service Configuration

Check the "Automatically start IPP gateway.." box.

To verify that the gateway is working open the Internet browser and enter the

following web address, replacing serverhostname with the DNS hostname of

the system where the IPP gateway daemon is running: http://

serverhostname:631/printers

Note:

IPPGW can be ran only with default port which is

631

Halftone Management System

If you have Print-on-Demand feature installed then you have Halftone

Management System server running.

Start the Halftone Management System server on the target InfoPrint Manager

machine. The configuration does not need to be migrated. The halftones are

handled automatically.

Note:

If you have HMS on R1, you need to buy the POD licenses, due to the fact

that HMS has been moved to the POD feature.

Custom exits for ACIF and MVS Download

If there are any ACIF exits, you need to copy and restore all the MVS Download

exits located in

\bin\mvsdsubm.exe

and

\exits\mvsd
