Setting the High Resolution Assist function The High Resolution Assist function enables the high resolution display of an application that does not support the high resolution mode. To use the High Resolution Assist feature, follow the instructions in "Recommendation for installing the Up-date file" in the Read This First manual and make sure that you have installed the Up-date file contained in the supplied CD-ROM into your CLIE handheld. 1 Tap HiRes from the drop-down list on the Preferences screen. The HiRes Preferences screen is displayed. 2 To enable the High Resolution Assist function, select Enable High Resolution Assist. 3 Select the application(s) that you do not want to display in high resolution mode in the list box. Note In step 3, check an application when the following occurs in the high resolution mode: • Performances are largely deteriorated (ex. game). • Display is divided into two, characters are distorted, or other operational irregularities occur.
