Answering system Remote access You can access your answering system remotely by dialing your home telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. To remotely access your answering system: 1. Dial your telephone number from any touch tone telephone. 2. At anytime when the answering system answers the call, enter 5000 (default remote access code, see page 57 to change this setting). • If you have new messages, the system will automatically announce the number of new messages and then begin to play them. 3. Enter the following remote commands on a touch-tone phone. Remote command Action 1 Play all messages. 2 Play only new messages. 3 Delete the current message (during playback). 33 Delete all old messages. 4 Repeat the current message (during playback). 5 Pause/resume message (during playback). 5 Hear a list of remote commands. 6 Skip to the next message (during playback). 7 Record a new announcement. 0 Turn the answering system on or off. # Stop message playback Hang up Save all undeleted messages. 4. Hang up to end the call and save all undeleted messages. www.vtechphones.com • If you pause for more than four seconds during remote access, "Press 5 for help." will be announced. If no commands are entered for approximately 20 seconds, the call will end automatically. • If memory is full or the answering system is off, the system will answer after 10 rings, and announce "Please enter your remote access code." To remotely access your answer±ng system:
