Basic opeTrealteiopnhone operation Telephone operation Phone book In the Phone Book menu, you can store and search for names and numbers already stored inside. Phone book entries are stored independently on each handset and the telephone base. The phone book can store up to 100 entries, with a maximum of 16 alphanumeric characters (including spaces) and 32 digits. The phone book also allows you to assign a unique ringer, picture, or animation for specific callers (page 75), if you subscribe to caller ID service, provided by your local telephone company. To enter the Phone Book menu: Using a handset Phone Book • Press MENU/SEL when the handset is in idle mode, then press MENU/SEL to enter the Phone Book menu. Using the telephone base • Press the MENU softkey when the telephone base is in idle mode, then press the SELECT softkey to enter the Phone Book menu. While in the Phone Book menu, you can: • Create a new phone book entry (page 74). • Search for a phone book entry by name (page 77). • Dial a phone book entry (page 78). • Edit a phone book entry (page 79). • Delete an entry or the entire phone book (page 80). Phone book
In the
Phone Book
menu, you can store and search for names and numbers
already stored ±ns±de. Phone book entr±es are stored ±ndependently on
each handset and the telephone base. The phone book can store up to 100
entr±es, w±th a max±mum of 16 alphanumer±c characters (±nclud±ng spaces)
and 32 d±g±ts.
The phone book also allows you to ass±gn a un±que r±nger, p±cture, or an±mat±on
for specific callers (page 75), if you subscribe to caller ID service, provided
by your local telephone company.
To enter the
Phone Book
menu:
Using a handset
Press
MENU/SEL
when the handset ±s ±n ±dle mode, then press
MENU/SEL
to enter the
Phone Book
menu.
Using the telephone base
Press the
MENU
softkey when the telephone base ±s ±n ±dle mode, then
press the
SELECT
softkey to enter the
Phone Book
menu.
Wh±le ±n the

menu, you can:
