XM Satellite Radio tuning Setting the XM Satellite Radio preset channels You can use this feature to store up to 40 XM Satellite Radio channels (A1 to E8: 8 preset channel numbers in each of the 5 preset channel groups). You can then recall any preset channel easily by selecting the preset channel group and number as described in "Preset Search mode" on page 55. 1 Search for a channel you want to set as a preset channel by using one of the XM Satellite Radio search modes. See "Basic XM Satellite Radio operations" on page 54 for details. [043] XMU Currently selected channel number 2 Press 6MEMORY (or EXM MEMORY). The MEMORY indicator flashes in the front panel display for approximately 10 seconds. 4 Press 5PRESET/TUNING/CH l / h (or DPRESET/CH k / n) repeatedly to select a preset channel number (1 to 8) while the MEMORY indicator is flashing. The preset channel number appears in the front panel display. Flashes MEMORY C5 [043] XMU Currently selected preset channel number 5 Press 6MEMORY (or EXM MEMORY) to set the selected XM Satellite Radio channel as a preset channel while the MEMORY indicator is flashing. A colon (:) appears next to the preset channel number for confirmation, and the MEMORY indicator turns off in the front panel display.
