Chapter 8 Application The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 94 RMON > Alarm Config > New LABEL DESCRIPTION Port Number Select which port or interface whose data will be sampled. Variable Select the type of data to be sampled: ifInOctets - total number of octets received ifInUcastPkts - the total number of good unicast packets received ifInNUcastPkts - the total number of good non-unicast packets received ifInDiscards - the total number of packets received that were dropped ifInErrors - the total number of error packets received ifInUnknownProtocol - the total number of packets received that were dropped because of an unknown or unsupported protocol ifInMulticastPkts - the total number of good multicast packets received ifInBroadcastPkts - the total number of good broadcast packets received ifOutOctets - total number of octets transmitted ifOutUcastPkts - the total number of unicast packets requested to be transmitted ifOutNUcastPkts - the total number of non-unicast packets requested to be transmitted ifOutDiscards - the total number of outbound packets that were dropped ifOutErrors - the total number of outbound error packets ifOutQLen - the length of the output packet queue ifOutMulticastPkts - the total number of multicast packets requested to be transmitted Interval Sample Type ifOutBroadcastPkts - the total number of broadcast packets requested to be transmitted Specify the time between data samplings. Select the method of obtaining the sample value. Absolute: means the sampling value is accumulated since it started. Startup Alarm Delta: means the value is from the data sampled in each configured time interval. Select the startup alarm type. Rising Alarm: means the probe triggers an alarm when the value is greater or equal to the rising threshold. Falling Alarm: means the probe triggers an alarm when the value is less than or equal to the falling threshold. Owner Rising Condition Threshold Event Index Falling Condition Rising & Falling Alarm: means Rising or Falling. That is, the probe triggers an alarm when either one of the above cases occurs. Enter a descriptive name of the application that creates this entry. You can use 1-31 printable ASCII characters. Spaces are allowed. Specify a rising threshold (between 0 and 2147483647). When a value is greater or equal to this threshold, the probe triggers an alarm. Select an index number of a rising event. ENC User's Guide 205
