Chapter 8 Application Table 99 VLAN Management > Port Setting (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Port VID Enter a number between 1 and 4094 as the port VLAN ID. If an incoming frame received by the port is untagged, the device adds the port VLAN ID (PVID) to the frame. Ingress Check Select this to have the device discard incoming frames for VLANs that do not include this port in its member set. GVRP Clear this check box to disable ingress filtering on the port. GVRP (GARP VLAN Registration Protocol) is a registration protocol that defines a way for switches to register necessary VLAN members on ports across the network. Acceptable Frame Type Select this check box to allow GVRP on this port. Specify the type of frames allowed on a port. The available options vary depending on device models. Select All from the drop-down list box to accept all untagged or tagged frames on this port. This is the default setting. VLAN Trunking Apply Reset Select Tag Only to accept only tagged frames on this port. All untagged frames will be dropped. Enable VLAN Trunking on ports connected to other switches or routers (but not ports directly connected to end users) to allow frames belonging to unknown VLAN groups to pass through the device. Click Apply to save your changes. Click Reset to discard your changes and reset the fields to their last saved settings. ENC User's Guide 215
