Chapter 8 Application Note: You can create up to 16 authentication method objects. Figure 239 Authentication Method: Add The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 155 Authentication Method: Add LABEL DESCRIPTION Profile Name Specify a descriptive name for identification purposes. You may use 1-30 alphanumeric characters, underscores(_), or dashes (-), but the first character cannot be a number. This value is case-sensitive. For example, "My_Device". Add Click this to create a new entry. Select an entry and click Add to create a new entry after the selected entry. Edit Remove # Double-click an entry or select it and click Edit to open a screen where you can modify the entry's settings. To remove an entry, select it and click Remove. The ENC confirms you want to remove it before doing so. This field displays the index number. Method List Select a server object from the drop-down list box. You can create a server object in the AAA Server screen. The NXC5200 authenticates the users using the databases (in the local user database or the external authentication server) in the order they appear in this screen. If two accounts with the same username exist on two authentication servers you specify, the NXC5200 does not continue the search on the second authentication server when you enter the username and password that doesn't match the one on the first authentication server.
