AutoPoint indicator AutoSketch enters the intersection point nearest where you clicked. 2-Point Intersection snap cannot interact with other snaps. When 2-Point Intersection snap is active during MultiSnap mode, other snaps are not available. As you move the pointer over the drawing, an X-shaped AutoPoint Indicator identifies the nearest intersection point. To enter a point where two entities intersect 1 While in a drawing mode, activate Intersection snap on the Snaps toolbar. 2 Click the point where the entities intersect. To enter a point where two entities are projected to intersect 1 While in a drawing mode, activate 2-Point Intersection snap on the Snaps toolbar. 2 Click the first entity. 3 Click the second entity. Entering a Point That Creates a Perpendicular AutoPoint indicator Perpendicular snap allows you to enter a point that creates a line perpendicular to an existing line, polyline segment, or polygon segment. When used with an arc, circle, or bulged polyline segment, it allows you to create a line that extends radially outward or inward. Unlike Intersection snap, AutoSketch does not extend the reference entity. As you move the pointer over the drawing, the AutoPoint Indicator identifies the nearest perpendicular point of any entity you pass over. 108 | Chapter 9 Entering & Modifying Points
