To save the text in the editor to a file 1 On the Text Editor's File menu (or standard toolbar for inplace editing), click Save As, or click the Save button on the Text Editor toolbar. The Save Text File dialog box appears. 2 Click the folder where you want to save the file. 3 Enter a filename and click Save. To place text on the Clipboard 1 Select the text you want to put on the Clipboard. 2 To place a copy of the text and leave the original, on the Text Editor's Edit menu click Copy, or click the Copy button on the Text Editor toolbar. To move the text to the Clipboard and delete it from the editor click Cut on the Edit menu. NOTE The Text Editor can import or merge a standard ASCII text file (either ANSI or OEM/PC format). These file formats are supported by most popular word processors. Be sure the word processor you use can save an ASCII text file. To change the text font characteristics 1 Select a text entity. 2 Right-click the Font drop-down list box. 3 Click Font on the edit bar pop-up menu. The Font dialog box appears. 4 Click a different font, style, or height. A sample will appear in the window. 5 Click OK. For inplace editing, move the pointer away from the text box and rightclick or click CTRL+ENTER. To insert Windows characters 1 Select a text entity, then click the Edit Text button on the edit bar. Note that Character Map is only available during text editor mode. If you are using inplace editing, click the Edit Text button on the edit bar and then click the Text Editor Dialog button on the edit bar to switch to text editor mode or use CTRL+E. 2 Click the Character Map button on the Text Editor's toolbar. To save the text in the editor to a file

On the Text Editor’s File menu (or standard toolbar for inplace editing),
click Save As, or click the Save button on the Text Editor toolbar. The Save
Text File dialog box appears.

Click the folder where you want to save the file.

To place text on the Clipboard

Select the text you want to put on the Clipboard.

To place a copy of the text and leave the original, on the Text Editor’s Edit
menu click Copy, or click the Copy button on the Text Editor toolbar. To
move the text to the Clipboard and delete it from the editor click Cut on
the Edit menu.
NOTE
The Text Editor can import or merge a standard ASCII text file (either
ANSI or OEM/PC format). These file formats are supported by most popular
word processors. Be sure the word processor you use can save an ASCII text
file.
To change the text font characteristics
1
Select a text entity.

Right-click the Font drop-down list box.

Click Font on the edit bar pop-up menu. The Font dialog box appears.

Click a different font, style, or height. A sample will appear in the window.

Click OK.
For inplace editing, move the pointer away from the text box and right-
click or click CTRL+ENTER.
To insert Windows characters

Select a text entity, then click the Edit Text button on the edit bar.
Note that Character Map is only available during text editor mode. If you
are using inplace editing, click the Edit Text button on the edit bar and
then click the Text Editor Dialog button on the edit bar to switch to text
