Setting the Pattern Properties of an Entity A hatch pattern is a repetitive pattern AutoSketch uses to fill polygons and closed curves. Hatch patterns are properties of the entities to which they are applied. When you select a pattern on the property bar, you set the pattern for new entities as well as any highlighted polygons or closed curves. The pattern style you select depends on how you use the drawing. Solid fills look great on color displays but don't display as clearly when printed using a black and white printer. Hatch patterns aren't as bright as solid fill colors, but they display sharply using most printers and plotters. Bitmap images can combine color and patterns. To select a solid fill color for a polygon or closed curve 1 Select the polygons and/or closed curves you want to fill. 2 On the Pattern drop-down list box on the property bar, click Solid. 3 On the Solid Color drop-down list box, click a color.
