To edit components of a symbol, first convert the symbol to its component entities, then edit the entities and recombine the symbol. To create a new library 1 In the Content Librarian, click the Symbol page tab. 2 Click the Explorer button, or click Symbol, Explore on the Draw menu. The Content Explorer appears. 3 Click the New Symbol Library button at the top of the Content Explorer. 4 Enter a name for the library file. 5 Click Close. Managing Symbols in the Content Explorer

To create a new library

In the Content Librarian, click the Symbol page tab.

Click the Explorer button, or click Symbol, Explore on the Draw menu.
The Content Explorer appears.

Click the New Symbol Library button at the top of the Content Explorer.

Enter a name for the library file.

Click Close.
To delete a library

In the Content Librarian, click the Symbol page tab.

Click the Explorer button, or click Symbol, Explore on the Draw menu.
The Content Explorer appears.

Right-click a library file and click Delete from the pop-up menu.

A prompt box appears asking if you’re sure you want to delete this library,
click Yes.

Click Close.
To remove symbol definitions from a drawing or a library

In the Content Librarian, click the Symbol page tab.

Click the Explorer button, or click Symbol, Explore on the Draw menu.
The Content Explorer appears.

Click the Symbols page tab or the Drawings page, then click the library or
the name of the drawing where you want to delete a symbol definition.

Select one or more symbol definitions you want to delete, then click
Delete.

A prompt box appears asking if you’re sure you want to delete this symbol,
click OK.

Click Close.
