10 Making Copies 10 Using the MFC as a Copier You can use your MFC as a copy machine, making up to 99 copies at a time. The MFC can stack the copies or collate (sort) them. The scannable area of your MFC begins at approximately one-eighth inch (4 mm) from the edge of the paper. 1/8" (4 mm) Not Scannable 1/8" (4 mm) Making a Single Copy The default resolution for a single copy is AUTO, which you can use for originals containing both text and photographs. You can also select Text and Photo, as needed. 1 Place the original face down in the ADF. 2 Press Copy, then wait five seconds-OR-Press Copy again.
