Selecting and Creating Folders You can select or create folders where images are saved. New folders can be created by selecting [Create folder] on the folder selection screen. 1 Access the [Select folder] screen. ●●Choose [Select folder]. 2 Configure the setting. ●●Choose a folder for image storage. ●●To create a new folder, choose [Create folder]. ●● Folders are named as in 100CANON, with a three-digit folder number followed by five letters or numbers. ●● Folders with numbers in the range 100 - 999 can be created. File Numbering Your shots are automatically numbered in sequential order (0001 - 9999) and saved in folders that store up to 9,999 images each. You can change how the camera assigns file numbers. ●●Choose [File numbering], and then choose the desired option. Continuous Auto reset Manual reset Images are numbered consecutively (until the 9999th shot is taken/saved) even if you switch memory cards. Image numbering is reset to 0001 if you switch memory cards, or when a new folder is created. Creates a new folder and starts numbering images from 0001. ●● Regardless of the option selected in this setting, shots may be numbered consecutively after the last number of existing images on newly inserted memory cards. To start saving shots from 0001, use an empty (or formatted, =102) memory card.
