Tv, Av, and M Mode Take smarter, more sophisticated shots, and customize the camera for your shooting style ●● Instructions in this chapter apply to the camera as set to the respective mode. Specific Shutter Speeds (Tv Mode) Still Images Movies Set your preferred shutter speed before shooting as follows. The camera automatically adjusts the aperture value to suit your shutter speed. 1 Enter mode. 2 Set the shutter speed. ●●Turn the dial to set the shutter speed. ●● In conditions requiring slower shutter speeds, there may be a delay before you can shoot again, as the camera processes images to reduce noise. ●● When shooting at low shutter speeds on a tripod, you should set [IS mode] to [Off] (=36). ●● Maximum shutter speed with the flash is 1/2000 second. Set your preferred shutter speed before shooting as follows. The camera
automatically adjusts the aperture value to suit your shutter speed.

In conditions requiring slower shutter speeds, there may be a
delay before you can shoot again, as the camera processes
images to reduce noise.
When shooting at low shutter speeds on a tripod, you should set

Maximum shutter speed with the flash is 1/2000 second. If you
specify a faster speed, the camera will automatically reset the
speed to 1/2000 second before shooting.
With shutter speeds of 1.3 seconds or slower, ISO speed is [100]
and cannot be changed.
