Specific Aperture Values (Av Mode) Still Images Movies Set your preferred aperture value before shooting as follows. The camera automatically adjusts the shutter speed to suit your aperture value. 1 Enter mode. 2 Set the aperture value. ●●Turn the dial to set the aperture value. ●● Standard exposure is not available if the shutter speed blinks in white when you press the shutter button halfway. Adjust the aperture value until the shutter speed is displayed in white. ●● : Aperture value (size of the opening made by the diaphragm in the lens) ●● To automatically adjust the shutter speed and aperture value and enable standard exposure in / modes even under unfavorable exposure conditions, choose [ ] menu (=23) > [Safety shift] > [Enable]. Specific Shutter Speeds and Aperture Values (M Mode) Still Images Movies Follow these steps before shooting to set your preferred shutter speed and aperture value to obtain the desired exposure. 1 Enter mode. 2 Set the ISO speed (=53). 3 Configure the setting. ●●Press the button to choose shutter speed (1) or aperture value (2), and turn the dial to specify a value. ●● With shutter speeds of 1.3 seconds or slower, ISO speed is [100] and cannot be changed. ●● Auto mode is not available in mode.
