Correcting Red-Eye Still Images Movies Automatically corrects images affected by red-eye. You can save the corrected image as a separate file. 1 Choose [Red-eye correction]. ●●Choose [ ] menu (=23) > [Red-eye correction]. 2 Choose an image. 3 Correct the image. ●●Press the button. ●●Red-eye detected by the camera is now corrected, and frames are displayed around corrected image areas. ●●Enlarge or reduce images as needed. Follow the steps in "Magnifying Images" (= 71). 4 Save the new image. ●●The image is now saved as a new file. ●● Some images may not be corrected accurately. Editing Movies Still Images Movies Removing the Beginning/End of Movies You can remove unneeded portions from the beginning and end of movies (except digest movies (=28) and video snapshots (=50)). 1 Choose a movie. 2 Play the movie. ●●On the Quick Control screen (=23), choose [ ]. 3 Choose [ ]. ●●Press the button during movie playback to display the movie control panel, and then choose [ ]. ●●The movie editing panel and editing bar are now displayed. 4 Specify portions to cut. ●●(1) is the movie editing panel, and (2) is the editing bar. ●●Choose [ ] or [ ]. ●●To view the portions you can cut (identified by [ ] on the screen), press the / buttons or turn the dial to move [ ]. At the position to cut, press the button. ●●If you move [ ] to a position other than a [ ] mark, in [ ] the portion before the nearest [ ] mark on the left will be cut, while in [ ] the portion after the nearest [ ] mark on the right will be cut. Removing the Beginning/End of Movies
You can remove unneeded portions from the beginning and end of movies
(except digest movies

Choose a movie.

Play the movie.
On the Quick Control screen (

23),
choose [
].

Press the
button during movie
playback to display the movie control
panel, and then choose [
].
The movie editing panel and editing bar
are now displayed.

Specify portions to cut.
(1) is the movie editing panel, and (2) is
the editing bar.
Choose [
] or [
].
To view the portions you can cut
(identified by [
] on the screen), press
the
/
buttons or turn the
dial to
move [
]. At the position to cut, press the
button.
If you move [
] to a position other than a

] mark, in [
] the portion before the
nearest [
] mark on the left will be cut,
while in [
] the portion after the nearest
[
] mark on the right will be cut.
