DES-3026:4# show syslog Purpose Syntax Description Parameters Restrictions Used to display the syslog protocol status as enabled or disabled. show syslog The show syslog command displays the syslog status as enabled or disabled. Example usage: To display the current status of the syslog function: DES-3026:4#show syslog Command: show syslog Syslog Global State: Enabled DES-3026:4# create syslog host Purpose Syntax Description Parameters Used to create a new syslog host. create syslog host {severity [informational | warning | all] | facility [local0 | local1 | local2 | local3 | local4 | local5 | local6 | local7] | udp_port | ipaddress state [enable | disable]} The create syslog host command is used to create a new syslog host. − Specifies that the command will be applied to an index of hosts. There are four available indexes, numbered 1 through 4. severity − Severity level indicator. These are described in the following: Bold font indicates that the corresponding severity level is currently supported on the Switch.
