Section 8 - Security NT Domain Server Path: Security > Authentication > External Auth Server > NT Domain The NT Domain server allows users and hosts to authenticate themselves via a pre-configured Workgroup field. Typically Windows or Samba servers are used to manage the domain of authentication for the centralized directory of authorized users. To configure the router to connect to your NT domain server: 1. Click Security > Authentication > External Auth Server > NT Domain tab. 2. Complete the NT server information from the table below and click Save. You can configure up to three servers. Field Authentication Server (1-3) Workgroup (1-3) Timeout Retries Administrator Account Save Server Check Description Enter the IP address of your NT server(s). Enter the NT workgroup name(s). Set the amount of time in seconds that the router should wait for a response from the AD server. This determines the number of tries the controller will make to the AD server before giving up. Enter the admin account information that will be used when authentication is required for PPTP/L2TP connection. Click Save at the bottom to save and activate your settings.
