Example: timeSource = system Warning Extra care should be used when operating without an external NTP time source. Specifically, administrators will need to assure that all new nodes have their BIOS clocks set relatively close to the correct GMT time before they join the cluster. All DX Storage nodes set their clocks relative to GMT, not local time, and they do not change for daylight savings time. When an external NTP time source is used, the clocks are automatically synchronized to the correct time at boot and administrators are not required to perform the extra step of setting the BIOS clock. Warning
Extra care should be used when operating without an external NTP time source.
Specifically, administrators will need to assure that all new nodes have their BIOS clocks
set relatively close to the correct GMT time before they join the cluster. All DX Storage
nodes set their clocks relative to GMT, not local time, and they do not change for daylight
savings time.
When an external NTP time source is used, the clocks are automatically synchronized to the correct
time at boot and administrators are not required to perform the extra step of setting the BIOS clock.
