AC Power
Requirements
The input current, power (VA), and dissipation per IP4700 are based
on the maximum capability of the power supplies and cooling system
to provide internal regulated power. Typical values will be less,
depending on the number and manufacturer of disk modules. These
values represent the total values shared by the line cords of two
power supplies in the same IP4700, with the division between the line
cords and supplies at the current sharing ratio.
A failure of one of the two power supplies in the IP4700 results in the
remaining supply and cord supporting the full load. You must use a
rackmount cabinet with ac power distribution, and have main branch
ac distribution that can handle these values for the IP4700 and each
DAE in the cabinet.
