Technical Specifications and Operating Limits A IP4700 Technical Specifications Technical specifications include power requirements, size, drive, interface, and standards information. AC Power Requirements The input current, power (VA), and dissipation per IP4700 are based on the maximum capability of the power supplies and cooling system to provide internal regulated power. Typical values will be less, depending on the number and manufacturer of disk modules. These values represent the total values shared by the line cords of two power supplies in the same IP4700, with the division between the line cords and supplies at the current sharing ratio. A failure of one of the two power supplies in the IP4700 results in the remaining supply and cord supporting the full load. You must use a rackmount cabinet with ac power distribution, and have main branch ac distribution that can handle these values for the IP4700 and each DAE in the cabinet. Requirement ac line voltage ac line current Power consumption Power dissipation Power factor Heat dissipation In-rush current ac protection ac inlet type Hold-up time Current sharing Description 100 to 240 Vac +10%, single phase, 47 to 63 Hz 8.0 A max estimate at 100 V (fully configured) 800 VA max estimate (fully configured) 792 W max estimate (fully configured) 0.99 min at full load, low voltage 2851x103 J/hr (2703 BTU/hr) max estimate 50 A max estimate for 1/2 line cycle, per power supply 12 A thermal circuit breaker on each power supply IEC320-C14 appliance coupler 10 ms min at 50 Hz 60% max, 40% min A-2 IP4700 Installation and Service Guide
