Do not remove a faulty fan pack until you have a replacement available. You can remove the fan pack while the IP4700 is powered up. If the pack is removed for more than about two minutes, the storage processors and disk modules power down. They power up when you reinstall the storage processor fan pack. To remove the storage processor fan pack: 1. At the front of the IP4700, grasp the storage processor fan pack cover at its sides and pull it from its ballstud mounts, as shown in Figure 3-5.
