Servicing and Upgrading an IP4700 3 To install a power-supply module: IMPORTANT: The top power supply is inverted with respect to the bottom power supply. 1. If you are replacing the bottom power supply, make sure that the latch is as far to the left as possible. If you are replacing the top power supply, make sure that the latch is as far to the right as possible. 2. Align the power supply with the enclosure slot. Gently slide it into the slot until the latch moves to the middle of the slot. 3. With your thumb, push the latch right or left until it snaps into place. 4. Plug the ac line cord into the power supply's ac inlet. 5. Route the cord along the power supply to the side of the enclosure. See Figure 3-16. 6. Bend the cord into a U shape, and slide the U into the channel so the end of the cable comes out of the channel at the back end of the enclosure. 3-26 IP4700 Installation and Service Guide

Servicing and Upgrading an IP4700
To install a power-supply module:
IMPORTANT:
The top power supply is inverted with respect to the bottom
power supply.
1.
If you are replacing the bottom power supply, make sure that the
latch is as far to the left as possible. If you are replacing the top
power supply, make sure that the latch is as far to the right as
possible.
2.
Align the power supply with the enclosure slot. Gently slide it
into the slot until the latch moves to the middle of the slot.
3.
With your thumb, push the latch right or left until it snaps into
place.
4.
Plug the ac line cord into the power supply

5.
Route the cord along the power supply to the side of the
enclosure. See Figure 3-16.
6.
Bend the cord into a U shape, and slide the U into the channel so
the end of the cable comes out of the channel at the back end of
the enclosure.
