Table 3-2 lists (in alphabetical order) system messages that can appear on the monitor screen. These messages can help you find the source of a problem. Some of these messages indicate fatal errors. When a fatal error occurs, the system cannot usually be rebooted until an appropriate hardware change has been made. Attempted to run system with more than six hard-disk drives and only one power supply Install a PSPB with additional power supplies. Faulty diskette/tape drive subsystem or hard-disk drive subsystem (defective system board) Combination of unbuffered and registered DIMMs installed Diskette drive or hard-disk drive controller cannot send data to associated drive Mouse cable connector loose or improperly connected; defective mouse Faulty diskette/tape drive subsystem or hard-disk drive subsystem (defective system board) Replace the system board. Replace one or more DIMMs so that all DIMMs are the same type. See "Installing DIMMs" and "Removing DIMMs" in Chapter 8 of the system's Installation and Troubleshooting Guide.
