This appendix describes the System Setup program, which is used to change the system configuration information stored in NVRAM on the system board. For in-depth information, refer to Chapter 4, "Using the System Setup Program" in the Dell PowerEdge 4300 Systems User's Guide. To enter the System Setup program, follow these steps: 1. Turn on (or reboot) the system. 2. Press immediately after you see the message . If you wait too long, the operating system begins to load into memory, the message disappears, and you cannot enter the System Setup program. Let the system complete the load operation; then shut down the system and try again. NOTE: To ensure an orderly system shutdown, consult the documentation that accompanied the operating system.
