No microprocessor or terminator card installed in one of the microprocessor guide bracket assemblies Ensure that each microprocessor guide bracket assembly has either a terminator card or a microprocessor installed. See Chapter 8, "Installing System Board Options," in the system's Installation and Troubleshooting Guide for instructions. Faulty diskette, diskette/tape drive subsystem, or hard-disk drive subsystem (defective system board) Replace the diskette or hard-disk drive. If the problem persists, replace the system board. Improperly connected diskette/tape drive, hard-disk drive, or power cable Check the diskette/tape drive interface cable and power cable connections to the diskette drive. Replace the diskette/tape drive interface cable. Reinstall the hard-disk drive. Check the interface cable and power cable connections to the backplane board. Improperly installed or faulty expansion card Reinstall the expansion card(s). If the problem persists, replace the expansion card(s). Defective sectors on diskette or harddisk drive Replace the diskette or hard-disk drive. Faulty diskette or hard-disk drive Defective battery Replace the diskette or hard-disk drive. Replace the battery. Defective battery or faulty chip (defective system board) Replace the battery. If the problem persists, replace the system board. Codes and Messages 3-11
