Time Date Diskette Drive A Diskette Drive B Reserved Memory CPU Speed Num Lock Processor 1 Processor 2 Fan Speed System Alert Keyboard Errors Boot Sequence Scan Sequence System Password Password Status Setup Password Mouse Resets time on computer's internal clock. Resets date on computer's internal calendar. Identifies type of diskette drives installed. Tape drives are not reflected. Allows a region of system board memory to be supplied by an expansion card with 15M 16M or None (default). Indicates the processor speed at which the system boots (can toggle to a lower speed). This option should be used only for troubleshooting purposes; otherwise, do not use. On 101- and 102-key keyboards, determines whether system boots with Num Lock activated (does not apply to 84-key keyboards). Displays version or stepping number of the microprocessor in each processor slot on the system board. Sets the fan speed to Full Speed (default) or Noise Reduced. Sets the system LED to flash when a critical (Fault, the default) or noncritical (Warning) error threshold is passed. Enables or disables reporting of keyboard errors during POST. Determines whether system boots from diskette (if present) or hard-disk drive. Determines the order in which the PCI devices are scanned by the system. Displays current status of system's password security feature. Also used to assign and verify a new password. The system password is overridden by the setup password. If set to Locked, prevents the system password from being changed or disabled. Requires that Setup Password option be set to Enabled. Restricts access to System Setup program. The setup password overrides the system password. Enables or disables the built-in PS/2compatible mouse port. System Setup Program A-3
