Installing an expansion card riser Prerequisites 1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions on page 57. 2. if applicable, install an expansion card into the riser before installing the expansion card riser 2. Steps 1. Holding the blue touch points on the expansion card riser, align the expansion card with the connector on the system board. NOTE: While installing riser 1, press the tabs and hold the touch point to align the expansion card riser and the riser guide pin on the system board. 2. Lower the expansion card riser into place until the expansion card riser is fully seated with the connector on the system board. Figure 47. Installing an expansion card riser
Prerequisites
1.
Follow the safety guidelines listed in
Safety instructions
on page 57.
2.
if applicable,
install an expansion card into the riser
before installing the expansion card riser 2.
Steps
1.
Holding the blue touch points on the expansion card riser, align the expansion card with the connector on the system board.
NOTE:
While installing riser 1, press the tabs and hold the touch point to align the expansion card riser and the riser
guide pin on the system board.
2.
Lower the expansion card riser into place until the expansion card riser is fully seated with the connector on the system board.
