Next steps 1. Replace the side wall bracket. Installing the side wall bracket There are two side wall brackets on either side of the system. The procedure to install is similar. Prerequisites 1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions. 2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system. 3. If installed, remove the front bezel. 4. Remove the drive backplane cover. 5. If installed, remove the air shroud or remove the GPU air shroud. 6. Remove the cooling fan assembly. NOTE: Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route the cable properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped. Steps 1. Align the guide slots on the side wall bracket with the guides on the system and slide until the cover is seated firmly. NOTE: Route the cables through the side wall cable holder. 2. Close the side wall cable holder until the holder clicks into place. Figure 48. Installing the side wall bracket Next steps 1. Replace the cooling fan assembly. 2. If installed,
remove the front bezel
.
4.
Remove the drive backplane cover
.
5.
If installed,
remove the air shroud
or
remove the GPU air shroud
.
6.
Remove the cooling fan assembly
.
NOTE:
Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route the cable
properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1.
Align the guide slots on the side wall bracket with the guides on the system and slide until the cover is seated firmly.
NOTE:
Route the cables through the side wall cable holder.
2.
Close the side wall cable holder until the holder clicks into place.
