Chapter 4: Installing Components Replacing the processor board To remove the processor board: 1 Follow the instructions in "Preventing static electricity discharge" on page 36. Make sure that you turn off the server, then unplug the power cords and all other cables connected to the server. 2 Remove the top rear panel. For instructions, see "Removing the top rear panel" on page 41. 3 Remove the inside panel. For instructions, see "Removing the inside panel" on page 45. 4 Remove the air duct. Replacing the processor board
To remove the processor board:
