Replacing the front panel board Replacing the front panel board The front panel board contains the actual LEDs, buttons, and ports that are accessed from the front panel of your server. To replace the front panel board: 1 Follow the instructions in "Preventing static electricity discharge" on page 36. Make sure that you turn off the server, then unplug the power cords and all other cables connected to the server. 2 Remove the top rear panel. For instructions, see "Removing the top rear panel" on page 41. 3 Remove the top front panel. For instructions, see "Removing the top front panel" on page 43. 4 Unplug the three cables that are connected to the front panel board. www.gateway.com 89

Replacing the front panel board
The front panel board contains the actual LEDs, buttons, and ports that are
accessed from the front panel of your server.
To replace the front panel board:

Follow the instructions in
“Preventing static electricity discharge” on
page 36
. Make sure that you turn off the server, then unplug the power
cords and all other cables connected to the server.
