If you find ink stains on the back of your prints or have trouble with the substrate-advance sensor

1. Unload all substrate from the printer. See Unload a roll from the printer on page 70. 2. Turn off the printer. 3. Open the printer window. 4. Use a 1 mm pin to unclog every hole in the print platen. Make sure to push the pin all the way through. Remains of ink and substrate fibers tend to accumulate in the holes and diminish the vacuum effect. 5. Remove the platen or ink collector. See Ink collector on page 58. 6. With the same 1 mm pin or tweezers, remove all remains of ink and substrate fibers inside the vacuum suction cups. 7. Reinstall the platen or ink collector.
