Do one of the following to activate the fax forwarding: ● Touch the toggle button next to Fax Forwarding to forward the fax. ● Touch the toggle button next to Fax Forwarding + Print to print and forward the fax. ● Touch Enter Fax Number to enter the fax number manually of the fax machine intended to receive the forwarded faxes. NOTE: ● If the printer loses power when fax forwarding is set up, it saves the fax forwarding setting and phone number. When the power is restored to the printer, the fax forwarding setting is still On. ● You can cancel fax forwarding by selecting Off from the Fax Forwarding menu. Configure fax archiving You can use fax archive to automatically receive faxes and save them directly to your computer. This saves paper and ink. Received faxes are saved as TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) or PDF (Portable Document Format). NOTE: Fax to Computer is available for receiving black-and-white faxes only. Color faxes will be printed. Fax archive requirements Following are the fax archive requirements. ● The destination folder of the computer must be available at all times. Faxes will not be saved if the computer is asleep or in hibernate mode. ● Paper must be loaded in the input tray to print the received faxes archived. See Load media. From the left menu, click Fax, and then click Fax Archive and Forwarding. 3.
