To install a memory module: CAUTION: HP only ships DIMMs that are electrically and thermally compatible with this product. Because third-party DIMMs might not be electrically or thermally compatible, they are not supported by HP. NOTE: DIMMs and their sockets are keyed for proper installation. Be sure these guides line up when installing a DIMM. Loading Order for Single Processor Configurations Use the following image as a guide for installing memory in single processor configurations only. You must install memory modules in valid configurations: • Install the first DIMM pair in socket set 1 (blue sockets) • Install the second DIMM pair in socket set 3 (black sockets) Loading Order for Dual Processor Configurations Use the following image as a guide for installing memory in dual processor configurations only.
