Connecting to the Internet Using a Modem Card To connect to the Internet with a modem card, you need a phone line, a dial-up Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a Work Internet connection, and an optional Single-Slot or Dual-Slot PC Card Expansion Pack, Expansion Pack Plus, or CompactFlash (CF) Card Expansion Pack. You must also obtain the following information from your ISP or your network administrator: telephone number, user name, password, domain name, and TCP/IP settings. ✎ Insert your modem card before trying to set up a modem connection. 1. Insert your modem card into an expansion pack. ✎ If your modem card is not recognized, follow your modem manufacturer's instructions to install the modem card driver on your iPAQ Pocket PC. 2. Connecting to the Internet
Using a Modem Card
To connect to the Internet with a modem card, you need a phone
line, a dial-up Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a Work Internet
connection, and an optional Single-Slot or Dual-Slot PC Card
Expansion Pack, Expansion Pack Plus, or CompactFlash (CF)
Card Expansion Pack.
You must also obtain the following information from your ISP
or your network administrator: telephone number, user name,
password, domain name, and TCP/IP settings.
Insert your modem card before trying to set up a modem
connection.
1. Insert your modem card into an expansion pack.
If your modem card is not recognized, follow your modem
manufacturer’s instructions to install the modem card driver on
your iPAQ Pocket PC.
