SSA Service Aids SSA service aids help you service the SSA Hot-Swap Disk Drive. This section describes those service aids, and tells how to use them. Attention: Do not run the service aids from more than one using system at a time; otherwise, unexpected results might occur. The SSA service aids are: Set Service Mode Link Verification Configuration Verification Format Disk Certify Disk This service aid enables you to determine the location of a particular disk drive module on the SSA link and to remove that module from the link. This service aid tells you the operational status of an SSA link. This service aid lets you determine the relationship between physical and logical disk drives. This service aid formats an SSA disk drive module. This service aid verifies that all the data on a disk drive can be read correctly. Before you use the service aids, ensure that you are familiar with the principles of SSA links and physical disk drives (pdisks). If you are not familiar with these principles, first read "SSA Loops and Links" on page 3-59. 3-64 Service Guide
