Getting Started 7. Label the hard disk with the appropriate label. Starting with the uppermost drive, label the hard disks, 1 to 4, in the order shown in the following figure. Note: The order of drive carriers is critical when replacing hard disks or performing maintenance. A hard disk plugged into an incorrect slot once set up for RAID can result in data loss or an improperly functioning storage system. HD 1 AF000241 Figure 8.
