ProSafe Managed Switch Term Definition Switch Description Text used to identify the product name of this switch. Machine Type The machine model as defined by the Vital Product Data. Machine Model The machine model as defined by the Vital Product Data Serial Number The unique box serial number for this switch. FRU Number The field replaceable unit number. Manufacturer Manufacturer descriptor field. Burned in MAC Address Universally assigned network address. Software Version The release.version.revision number of the code currently running on the switch. Additional Packages The additional packages incorporated into this system. show interface This command displays a summary of statistics for a specific interface or a count of all CPU traffic based upon the argument. Format Mode show interface { | switchport} Privileged EXEC The display parameters, when the argument is , are as follows: Parameters Packets Received Without Error Packets Received With Error Broadcast Packets Received Packets Transmitted Without Error Transmit Packets Errors Collisions Frames Time Since Counters Last Cleared Definition The total number of packets (including broadcast packets and multicast packets) received by the processor. The number of inbound packets that contained errors preventing them from being deliverable to a higher-layer protocol. The total number of packets received that were directed to the broadcast address. Note that this does not include multicast packets. The total number of packets transmitted out of the interface. The number of outbound packets that could not be transmitted because of errors. The best estimate of the total number of collisions on this Ethernet segment.
