Maximum Number of Prefixes Reached This cease subcode is sent when the number of prefixes from a BGP neighbor exceeds the pre-configured limit. The notification message contains additional data to indicate the maximum prefix limit configured for the neighbor. Administrative Shutdown This cease notification subcode is sent to a BGP neighbor in following two situations • BGP neighbor is disabled • BGP protocol is globally disabled.
