Canceling a Memory Transmission Canceling a Memory Transmission You can cancel the mode using the same procedure in the following cases: • Fax Destination, Internet Fax Destination, and IP-Fax Destination are specified simultaneously. • Only either Internet Fax Destination or IP-Fax Destination is specified. Note ❒ You can also cancel scanning by pressing [Stop Scanning]. ❒ Scanning may be completed while you are performing the cancel 2 operation. Before the Original Is Scanned Use this procedure to cancel a transmission before pressing the {Start} key. A Press the {Clear Modes} key. Note ❒ When originals are placed into the ADF, you can cancel transmission simply by removing them. While the Original Is Being Scanned While the Original Is Being Transmitted Note ❒ If the transmission finishes while you are carrying out this procedure, it will not be canceled. ❒ If you cancel a document while it is being sent, the transmission is halted as soon as you finish the cancellation procedure. However, some pages of the document may already have been sent and received at the other end. A Press the {Clear/Stop} key. Use this procedure to cancel a transmission after pressing the {Start} key. A Press the {Clear/Stop} key. The machine stops scanning. Note ❒ You can also cancel a Memory Transmission by pressing [Change / Stop TX File]. 25
