Sending Internet Fax Documents Sending Internet Fax Documents You can send Internet Fax documents only by Memory Transmission. If you specify Immediate Transmission in Internet Fax, the mode is switched to Memory Transmission when one email address or more is specified. Preparation Before using this function, the following preparations are required: • Make the network settings in the System Settings menu. See "Setting Up the Machine on a Network", Network Guide. • Program the sender to the destination list and set "Use Name as" to "Sender". See "Fax Destination", General Settings Guide. When sending documents, you can set e-mail options using [Sub TX Mode]. You can set the following options: ❖ Enter Subject Allows you to enter a subject for the document you want to send. Note ❒ For convenience, program fre- quently-used subjects. "[Urgent]", and "[High]" are programmed as default. See "Connecting and Setting Up", Network Guide. ❒ You can enter up to 128 characters in total. ❒ If you send e-mail without setting a subject/text in "E-mail Options" under "Sub TX Mode", a subject is automatically inserted. For details about how the subject is automatically inserted, see p.69 "About the E-mail Subject" and p.76 "Received Images". ❒ You cannot send a subject only as e-mail without an original. ❖ Enter Text Allows you to enter the text to be transmitted. Note ❒ To enter text, program it before- hand. See "Connecting and Set- ting Up", Network Guide. ❒ You cannot send text only with- 3 out an original. ❖ Reception Notice You can confirm sent documents were properly received using email or the Journal. ❖ BCC Transmission E-mails are sent to all specified destinations as bcc. Important ❒ If a power outage lasts about an hour, or the machine is disconnected from the power outlet for about an hour, documents stored in the fax machine's memory are deleted. If any document is deleted, the Power Failure Report is automatically printed out when the main power switch is turned on. Use this report to check which documents were deleted. Simply turning off the power by pressing the Operation switch does not delete stored documents. Sending Internet Fax Documents
You can send Internet Fax documents
only by Memory Transmission. If you
