Note • You can search for devices even when the Bluetooth wireless function is off. Once pairing is started, the phone turns the Bluetooth wireless function on automatically. • You can only select one device for pairing. To change the paired device, see "To Activate the Paired Device". • Pairing means authentication has been established between the two devices. • In order to pair two devices with Bluetooth wireless technology, the users should agree on the same passcode for both devices. • The passcode is used only once, so there is no need to remember it. The passcode can be different each time the devices are connected. • Devices that do not have a user interface (i.e., headsets and car kits) have a factory-set passcode. See the user guide for the device. Tip • You can save battery power by turning the Bluetooth wireless function off while it is not in use. Turn the Bluetooth wireless function off in "To Turn On or Off the Bluetooth Wireless Function" on page 146 or in "To Turn Off Automatically" on page 149. • During a call, you can divert voice calls to the paired handsfree device. Press [Options], select "Transfer Audio" and then "To Handset" or "To Bluetooth".
