Sorting Documents In List View, the Laser Multifunction Desktop enables you to sort your documents in a variety of ways, by name, date, number of pages, and author, as well as in ascending and descending order. To use this feature, follow the procedure below. 1 From the View menu, go to Sort, and then to Order and select the order by which you want to sort. If you click on Ascending, your documents will be listed in numerical and alphabetical order. Descending sorts documents in reverse order. 2 As soon as you select Ascending or Descending, your documents will be sorted according to the setting made the last time you used the Sort function (the default setting is By Name). To change the basis of the sort, go back to the View menu and under Sort, select from By Name, By Date, By Pages, or By Author. The Laser Multifunction Desktop will then automatically sort your documents. Note: • For more information on the Author selection, refer to "Document Summary Tool" on the next page.
