If it appears, wait until it disappears before inserting a disc. Periodic Maintenance Digital Hours Meter The digital hours meter can provide information about the operational history of the unit. Use the information as a guide in scheduling periodic maintenance. For periodic maintenance, contact your Sony dealer. To display digital hours meter The digital hours meter appears in both the monitor video section and time data display section as the digital hours meter menu of the system menu. It can also be superimposed on the screen of the external video monitor connected to the unit (see page 40). To display the digital hours meter, proceed as follows. 1 Press the MENU button to display the system menu (see page 90). 2 Press the M/MARK1 button or m/MARK2 button, select the HOURS METER (Hours Meter in the time data display section), and then press the ,/OUT button. Resetting items allows you to roughly determine the timing of next periodic maintenance. For display resetting, contact your Sony dealer. Item name (name between Description [ ] is name in the time data display section) H1: OPERATION [Opr] Displays the total number of hours the unit has been powered on in units of hours.
