Chapter 3 Recording and Playback Normally, the unit enters jog mode as soon as you turn the jog dial. If you want it to enter jog mode only when you press the JOG button, set OPERATIONAL FUNCTION >SEARCH ENABLE in the setup menu to "VIA SEARCH KEY". Playback in shuttle mode In shuttle mode, you can control the speed of playback by the angular position of the shuttle dial. The range of playback speed is ±20 times normal speed. To carry out playback in shuttle mode, proceed as follows.
