The provision configuration feature enables you to configure a new switch in advance before it joins the stack, which means you can configure the stack unit number and its switch type which is not currently the stack member. The information of the provisioned member is manually created, or created/updated by the switch member when it joins the stack. The provisioned configuration retains in the stack when the stack member leaves the stack.
